2003 Chevrolet S-10 Headlights

My daylight running lights does not come on all the time and if they do not come on the headlights will not come on at night and leaves me without headlights at night. Sometimes they will flicker off and come back on at night. We have changed the headlight switch and the relay. This has not helped. Any suggestions?

Have a pro scan for codes may be a body module problem

I just had it scanned a week ago and it just came up with a exhaust leak

That doesn't' mean it won't go bad in that time a pro needs to scan it not an auto parts. It cold also be a relay but the headlights go through body module first so it's probably that
