Chevrolet Impala Ignition switch Problem
I installed a new key ignition switch without first unplugging the battery. Have I caused a major problem? How do I get my cat to start because it won't start.

So did you change the key cylinder or the ignition switch itself?Is the security light on solid or flashing?
