2003 Chevrolet Cavalier Transmission

The transmission shifts through all the gears except drive. It sounds like the engine is running a high rpm but the gauge shows 2500. Is this problem an expensive one?

Is the trans fluid clean and full? Also, when it is reving 2500 RPM's, how fast are you going?

The RPM's don't sound too far out of line for that speed. Has there been a change from before?

Turns out the transmission was not the problem. It was a front hub bearing. Thanks for your assistance.
