2003 Cadillac Deville Car won't start

My car won't start it might be that the battery is dead I have a portable car charger it's 600 Amps but I'm not sure that's the right amount for a 2003 Cadillac Deville, how do I find out what the proper amperage is?

If it's adjustable don't go over 200 amps when trying to start. Or if it'a jump start thing hook it up and start car then get battery tested. Tirestores/auto parts do for free
