When air conditioner is on no matter what degrees the thermostat is on up to 90 degrees there is real cold air coming out the vents. The ac stops working sometimes and you can turn it off awhile and it will start working again.

I read this and want to ask if the A/C is intermittent or if the IHKA system is faulty

Ac is not intermittent and the IHKA is ok the fan works fine and the ac cuts off when you cut fan all the way down everything works perfect except you cannot control the temp with the thermostat like I said you can put it 90 degrees and it is as cold as if you put it on 68 degrees.

The vehicle will likely require a scan with the proprietary BMW scan tool to uncover the cause. A look at live data from the IHKA system would be where I would start
