Why is my Jetta's steering and brakes tight?

The brakes and steering are very sensitive. It is hard to turn my steering wheel and my brakes are very sensitive compared to other cars I have driven. None of these other cars are jettas. Is this normal?

Without being there, it is hard to say if it is normal. What I recommend is for you to test drive another Jetta to compare it. That way you will know if there is a difference. The steering shouldn't be hard to turn unless it doesn't have power steering.

I do have power steering. My friend drove my car and thinks the fluids are low. I am use to the way the car drives because it has driven the same way since I bought it.
