I have a 2002 Toyota Highlander (V6, 2WD) with a Check Engine Light activation. The OBD-II scanner shows only one code - P1155; the description I have been able to find reads "A/F Sensor Heater malfunction Bank 2 Sensor 1". My Haines Manual has proven worthless to me.
I would like to know exactly what this means, where the sensor is located and if this is something that I can address myself?

It means the heater is not working on the 0/2 sensor for Bank 1 upstream. That is usually a bad sensor when only one of them codes.
That would be the upper sensor on the driver's side.

Just to make certain we're both looking in the same location... this sensor is the one on the manifold closest to the radiator and obviously visible?

As I said, it's the sensor before the converter on the left side of the engine.
