This also happens when I run the A/C engine stalls.

i would suspect a bad ac compressor. it may be locking up and stalling the motor.
have it checked to confirm.

Just to add to this one you can check the ac compressor yourself.With the engine turned off and after it has cooled down see if you can turn the center of the ac clutch freely.

So what does it mean if the ac clutch does not move freely.

If the center of your ac clutch doesnt move freely then your ac compressor is siezed up.That would explain your engine shutting off when turning the ac on.

So then the compressor would have to be replace, or not use the ac or defrost. The heat works with no problems.
Is there a way to disconnect the ac compressor.

Easiest way would be to pull the fuse.
