Why does the heater blow cold air when idling and very little warm air when driving/

I replaced thermostat and my temp gauge went up but no heat. Replaced the radiator cause of hole and it blows cold air idling and warm air when driving(heater).

Check the hoses that go into the heater core thru the firewall see if boh of them are getting really hot?Most likely you have a clogged heater core. Have you ever used a radiator stop leak?
