My car developed a grinding noise when I accelerated a couple of weeks ago. 2 days ago my engine management light came on. Today the engine cut out when I took my foot off the accelerator then completely cut out and wouldn't start. The starter motor turns when you turn the engine but just get an almighty grinding noise.
