I put new headgaskets on a and now it has no power .i unhooked the egr to exhaust pipe and i have plenty of power ,what could the problem be?

I have no power until i unhook egr valve exhaustline to exhaust pipe

Check the exhaust for restriction catalytic converter could be clogged
