Front end noise

I am getting a grinding noise in the front end. The noise gets worse when I turn to the right. I am thinking that it is either a cv joint or a bearing. The car is an 02 Olds Alero with 230,000 miles. I checked the brakes and the cv boots look good.

Suspect front wheel bearings(common). Does the noise change or get quieter when turning left?

It get's quieter when I turn left. If I turn the wheel past center to the right, the noise is worse.

Put car on hoist in neutral, grasp strut spring in hand while spinning tire, you will feel the roughness in the suspect bearing, replace bearing.
