I was wondering where the fuel filter is on a 2002 nissan sentra gxe 1.8 i keep getting mixed answers like i need to replace the fuel pump, there is no filter, its on the back of the engine, or its in the middle of the car where the fuel lines run

This car does not have a serviceable fuel filter. The only one it has is built into the fuel pump assembly and is not serviced as maintenance.

I doubt it's for your car and wouldn't fix anything anyway. You need to read your fuel pressure, not throw parts at it.
