I have had my car throwing the code p0447 which comes up as a evap vent control solonoid and i have tried to fix it. i checked to make sure that the solonoid work which it does and i have also use a silicone sealant along with an o ring when it was reading a small leak since i have done that my gas milage has got better but the cide still comes back. since i have solved the problems with the other code does anyone have any ideas?

It could be a control issue as well which means the pcm may be bad. A shop with a scan tool can verify this by trying to turn the solenoid on and off with the scan tool.
When you check the solenoid, did you use a vacuum gauge to verify passing vacuum?

No I didnt I connected it to voltage what else should I check? I want to make sure its just the solonoid before I replace it if I cant fix it
