ENGINE WILL NOT START AFTER 10 MINUTES REST FROM HOT

2002 Mitsubishi Triton • 176,000 miles

Starts fine cold, Starts fine when stopped hot and restarted. If I wait 10-15 minutes then engine fires but will not pick up and finaly cuts out. If I wait another 20+ everything OK.

no fault codes thrown.

Cam belt changed, MAF changed, new plugs and leads fitted, new fuel filter, fuel pump relay changed.

I would look at the fuel pressure. I bet it is low when hot.

Thanks for quick reply.

I will have the pump output checked but I do not see how the pressure can be lower when the engine is hot as the pump is way back in the fuel tank.
