2002 Mitsubishi Galant Repair Question

I have a 2002 Mitsubishi galant (ES 3.0L V6 Automatic).
Just had the trans rebuilt.
The shop is unable to the get second from******** into gear.
They have talked to the dealer and rebuilt the trans for the second time.
Any thoughts on why the slamming into second?

If it only slams into second gear i would suspect the clearance in the second clutch pack isn't correct.
