Mercury Sable Coil pack Problem
Misfiring; misfire when underload; as well going up hill, fine at idle; cylinder 1 and 4; loss of power; changed wires and plugs; and intake gasket, and fuel filer ; checked tps, fuel injector , fuel pressure, coil pack, 3.0 ohc, oreileys code read out p0316, and p0301

at this point i would suggest that you do a compression test on cyl.1&3.
