Mercury Mountaineer Engine Problem
To replace the balance shaft tensioner, can the ladder pan (middle oil pan) be removed without pulling the engine? Sorry about the "donation." We are on a limited retirement anuity and are suffering in the "Obama economy."

You need to lift the engine to remove the oil pan.
