Mercury Mountaineer Brake light switch Problem
I need to replace brake light switch. There's a brown/black wire, a green/red-ish wire, and a pink wire coming from the car. The brown/black wire is split. The only wires from the brake switch are brown/black and green/red. What do I do with the other wires?

Oh, and i know the switch slides onto the shaft, but there's a bar also. Does that go before the switch or into the switch?
