I had my car repaired for a leaky intake manifold because the check engine light code said that was the problem. After I got the car back the engine light came on again after one day. The mechanic said it was a memory problem and he turned off the engine light again. Next day light came on again with no codes indicated. How do I clear the "memory" from my car to keep the light off permanately?

you need another shop. there is no code for an intake manifold.

the light comes on for a reason and the reason is still there. thats why the light came back on. if the light is on, there is a code.

like I said, take it somewhere else and have them do a peoper diag, not a free code pull and see where the failure is.
