My KIA Rio wagon has had the wheel bearings go out twice and are in need of repair at this time. Is this a common problem? I only have 70,000 miles on the car.

So is it the same bearing failing again and again?Where are you getting the bearings from? What brand are they?Do you live where it snows and they put salt on the roads?

Hey saturntech, just wanted to chime in, one of the most common reasons for comeback bearings is that the axle nut is overtourqed, make sure the shop or whoever is replacing the bearings uses proper torque specs.
