What is wrong with my spedometer
2002 jeep liberty speed sensor problems. i am having problems keeping it working. i have replaced the sensor twice and replaced the wire harness and yet after an hour of continuous driving. it quits for a least 1 or 2 days then starts. any idea as to the problem

did you replace the sensor in the rear differential at the top??
it serves as an abs and speedometer sensor.

yes i did.but that was before i changed the wire harness. wire harness was changed due to possible broken wires. is it possible that the sensor is now damaged

not really. have a shop check it with a scan tool to verify the signal is reaching the pcm
