2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Repair Question
Mileage: 180,000 miles.
Starts dies, 2002 laredo
Answer
Do you have a security light on or flashing when you try to start it?
Then you need to take a fuel pressure reading.
You're going to have to determine what is dropping out when it dies, either spark, injector pulse or fuel pressure. This is not adding up. Fuel pressure and security systems are the things that act that way.
we just tested fuel pressure again and its 51 lbs, running or not,
i figured out whats dropping out, injector pulse is dropping out just before it dies, what next ECM ??
Is it the power side dropping out of the ground trigger side?
Also be sure that the spark isn't dropping out with it.
we r losing the ground side of the injector pulse.
And are you sure that the spark is not dropping with it. Did you see any spark after the injector pulse had dropped out?
