Timing belt already included in long block engine?
Bought a 02 trooper 3.5 4x4. The long block engin (part # 8973603600) was replaced at 100,000 miles by manufacturer warranty. Is the timing belt included in this engine? Is it reasonable to assume that the timing belt already replaced with the engin replacement?

If it was a complete long block i would think it would come with the long block.Also if it was replaced i would have put a new belt on it if it didnt come with a new belt.I wouldnt reuse the old belt on the new long block.I would make sure though give the dealer a call and ask them if the belt was replaced or came with the long block.
