Hyundai Santa Fe Body Problem
The heat shield between the exhaust and gas tank on my 2002 Santa Fe corroded and broke loose. I have removed it . Is there any danger in not having it replaced?

I would replace it it keeps excessive heat away from the floor board/body of the car.
