What would cause the ABS and TCS system to stop functioning?

I recently had my timing chain replaced. When I picked up my car from the mechanic I noticed that both the ABS and TCS lights were on (they were not on before). I have since realized (after trying to drive in the snow) that both of these systems are not functioning. What could my mechanic have done when he replaced the timing chain that would have caused these systems to stop functioning? Thank you.

It could be a unplugged wheel speed sensor broken wire somewhere etc Have you called and talked to him about the abs and tcs not working since the repair? With the codes being read and knowing what codes you have its hard to try to nail this problem down.

I am taking my car back in on Monday. I just want to be as informed as possible because it seems to me that the tech likely did something to cause it when he replaced the timing chain. Thanks.

I could only guess like a wheel speed issue broken wire etc if i had the codes that would really help narrow it down.Let me know what they say though.
