SHOULD I ADD FREON?

2002 GMC Safari • 110,000 miles

My ac is blowing hot air. I am getting a high pressure reading over 80 psi with car off and car running.

Should be enough to turn on the compressor. It sounds like you have another issue. I would not add at this time till you find out why the compressor is not turning on

You cant do any pressure readings till u get the compressor clutch to engage. Turn on the a/c use a test light and check if your getting power to the a/c clutch its a 2 wire connecter on the front of the compressor. Start here.
