Still using up battery?
Battery light came on steady,car died.shop said needed alternator, replaced it belt good, tight.battery light comes on at redlights,stop signs,at idle.cleaned terminals.battery is 1 year old.drive to work ,car wont start until sitting all day.new alternator didnt fix problem but cost alot.any help will be greatly appreciated.

I would check for corrosion/high resistance on the alternator-to-battery cable. A voltage drop test would be the best way to determine this. Any reading of .2vdc or higher would indicate high resistance.
