I have a problem with my ford focus,it is over heating

I did a head gasket change in January this year and a few days ago it started over heating ,i was in the highway and had to pull over when it over heat because i hard a warning on the dash board.The moment i did that the engine just cut and its is doing so when it over heats.What can i do to solve this problem

You need to do some basic testing . Is it full of coolant with no air in the system. Is the cooling fan working proper? Dlock test the cooling system with a block test kit you can rent from a parts store check for a failed head or head gasket. Does it over heat only @ hi speed ?
