2002 Ford Fiesta Repair Question

Ford Fiesta Body Problem
My daughter has just driven back home. On her way back the Orange Engine light flickered on and off, the car then started to jump and the light stayed on. Is this a serious fault. Or can I sort it (I don't know much about cars)

Nobody is going to know until you go and have the codes read. There are over 300 possible faults. Post the code NUMBERS here when you get them.
