Ford Explorer Steering Problem
Simple yes or no one here.
My Explorer Steering Column Shift Linkage Coupler snapped leveing the vehicle inbetween gears and the key stuck in the ingnition. I am researching that this is a very common problem with this year/model.
I have found tons of OEM replacement Couplers, the specific part that snapped, and need to know if JUST THE COUPLER CAN BE REPLACED of must the entire steering column be replaced?
The reson why I ask is because the local Ford dealer in my area told me that, "the steering column is an UNSERVICEABLE part", and that I must, "replace the entire steering column".
Which am I to believe?
