2002 Ford Explorer oil change

Is the any specific problem if you chose to return back to your car manufacturer oil recommendation for example SAE 5W 30 other than what had been using before.

Don't really understand question as stated but I f you use 5w30 and that is recommended then stick with it. You can go to synthetic oil if you wish but don't go to a 20w5o oil or 10w40 it will make your rings stick then you'll start using oil

Thanks for your response.I was asking if the is any effect on the engine if I change the type of oil am using for example from semi synthetic oil to fully synthetic oil. The vehicle is not a brand new car. It was manufactured in 2002.

Semi synthetic oil is 25% synthetic if you switch to full synthetic you may see some oil usage as the mineral oil has to work out of the engine. Other than that nothing
