2002 Ford Explorer Repair Question

4wd light
Tried to use the 4wd by pressing the switch on the console, but will not engage or light up. I was told it could be the 4wd module behind the glove box or the motor in the transfer case. I still need to take it to the shop, just wanted to know what kind of response I will get from the shop.

I would check to see if there is power to the actuator on the transfer case. They commonly go bad.
