Drivers door chime is allways on as soon as i open the door. turns off when i turn on ignition
When i open the drivers side door the door chime starts to ring. i have to put the key in ignition switch and turn to on position so it will stop. but i dont want to have the ignition on when im cleaning my car.

that is a program into the bcm or gem module. it cannot be changed.

can the door switch be tricked into thinking door is shut?
