I have a 2002 escape and i replaced the battery in september after the car died on me. now if the car sits longer then an hour the battery light will come on when started if you go over a bump while the battery is on the car dies. the battery light does go off after about 5 minutes of driving. the car will start after it dies but you must give it gas to get it going. ive replaced the battery, terminals, and have had the alternator checked and tested fine. im at a loss as to what it may be...
