Ran for about 3 miles died again wouldn't start?

Truck was low on oil truck died put 3 quartz oil in truck it ran for about 3 miles died again wouldn't start got truck towed home changed plugs that were fooled up truck will start now but you must keep the rpm up are it dies wondering if it might be the oil position censer are maybe something else any ideas

No the oil light doesn't come or nor any other light
