Idle problems

2002 dodge dakota 4.7 idle is sometimes jumpy it goes up and down slightly at times but not all the time it is just annoying cause it is like when u rev the motor up and down no check engine light on what could this be?

could be a vacuum leak, mass air flow or a bad idle air control motor.

what and where is mass air flow also idle air control motor thank you

idle motor is on the throttle body and the mass air flow is on the big hose going into the throttle body and has 4 wires on it.

i think either throttle position sensor or idle control sensor.both are located on throttle body.i had the same problem.cost to replace both around 90 bucks at o,relly or autozone,time 10 min.if mass airflow sensor is bad CAR WILL NOT START under no circumstances.good luck,JOIV
