My 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan ES 3.8L, with front and back climate control and automatic climate control in the front, is blowing on high all the time. I have checked the relays and fuses. Replaced the resistor. The first time I replaced the resistor all was good for about an hour. My research told me to replace the blower motor next, pulling too many amps. I did, along with the resistor again (just in case). It worked for 2 days and then back to on high all the time. I am stuck now, don't know where to look at next for the fix. Any suggestions?

Are you saying regardless of the fan speed switch's position, all you get is high?

Yes. I'm just unplugging the resistor for control.

It sounds like the switch in the vehicle has shorted.

How do I go about putting a new one in? What is the exact name of the part? I like to do things myself.

It would just be the blower motor switch. You will need to remove the unit from the dash to actually replace it.

Thank you, I will look into a blower motor switch. I am sure I will have more questions. Will let you know.

You will need to remove the trim around the unit then unscrew the unit from the dash. Youtube most likely has examples.
