Chrysler Sebring Timing chain Problem

The timing chain guide (top tensioner) came loose from the timing chain and knocked a hole in the front valve pan cover. We replaced the valve cover, dropped the oil pan to make sure there weren't any pieces of the guide down it and replaced the parts and put it all back together. The motor turns over and tries to start but won't. Any suggestions?
