I have replaced the radiator and thermostat and hoses

My car is overheating I have replaced the radiator and thermostat it is still getting hot how can I test the whater pump

Open the radiator cap and fill it -start it up-now pinch off the upper hose for a few secs -look in the radiator when you let go-the flow should increase if the water pump is doing its job
