Was running fine got home and it wouldnt go into gear and heard spinning sound
question.

Forward or reverse? If it has no reverse, I would suspect a broken or stripped reaction sun shell. If it has no forward or reverse, possibly a failed torque converter, or pump. Either way it sounds internal to the trans. A pan removal may reveal some debris, from there I would figure on tearing down the gearbox.
