2002 Chevrolet S-10 Repair Question

I have a bad tie rod end i dont know if it's the inner or outer

It's located on the top, the other end has a sleeve with 2 bolts, i was told that i could just change the boot that i dont have the whole tie rod. Is this the right way to go about just changing the boot.... Please Help Thanks

no, the whole toe rod should be changed. inner is toward the center of the truck and outer is toward the wheel
