How hard is it to replace a power steering hose on a 2002 monte carlo ss with a 3.8

Hello,

The power steering hose(s) can be replaced fairly easily on this vehicle.
It can be done in relatively short period of time depending on your comfort level.
You will have to raise the car and support it with jack stands to get to the hose that connects to the rack.

Good morning,

The labor time for a shop is 1 hour per hose. If you were trying to attempt it, I would assume you would need at least 2 hours as you do not have a lift to make the job easier.

The one thing that is tough is getting the hoses started back on the steering rack. You need the correct angle, or they will not start correctly. You could easily cross thread the hole which would require replacing the rack and pinion.
