Chevrolet Malibu Fuel gauge Problem
Automatic door lock/siren keychain didn't work - i assumed the battery in the keychain was dead. Car started and everything was fine but the fuel gauge and the temperature gauge never budged. fuel gauge said empty although i had 3/4 of a tank.

you need a shop to do a sweep test on the cluster to see if the gauges work when commanded. there may be other issues for them not to work.
