Chevrolet Impala Distributor Problem
Car loads up and dies at idle speed after warm up - coasting to stop sign for instance or slow manuvering in parking lot. Also acts like its missing at around 30 mph under moderate accellerating (intermittant problem) and then again at 78 - 80 when attempting to hold speed (consistent problem). Coasting or accellaration eliminates the high speed problem.
Does this mean the car is just way over due for a tune up? I've been told it could be plugs, fuel pump, fuel filter, torque converter, bad spark plug cables and/or distributor. Got plugs to try, but can't even get to 3 of the six due to engine orientation.
