2002 Cadillac El Dorado Repair Question

2002 eldorado 48,000 miles . will not pass the NY.S car inspection . i have driven this car 4000 miles in the last four years . the battery died and was replaced at a caddy repair shop.the check engine lite came on when i brought the car in for an inspect
Check engine lite came on at the napa service station , they replaced an O2 sensor, but the car did not pass the inspection. check engine lite is not on .
i have driven this car 400 miles -- every 100 miles i have them check the car, they tell me to continue driving the car. my reggy is up and i can not keep driving in circles. the car is in excellent condition .

Sounds like its not completing its monitors-the idea behind this is to keep driving it till it can complete its drive cycles. Might try reflashing the computer
