2001 Volkswagen Passat Door won't open

I just need to ask for the record did you lock your keys in your car and a tow truck had to come and Slim Jim your door, or maybe somebody try to break into your car with a Slim Jim and could have damaged the door mechanism. When you manually operate the door lock does it feel stiff? Or dose it feel normal like the other doors? I can sing you the instructions on how to take the door part if you want to try that, but what I would do is spray some lubrication in the handle in the door lock down the lock knob.
