I have a toyota previa diesel 2001 cdx model


my problem is as follow:

when i put my toyota previa into 5th gear the car shows the engine mangement light and the car loses power and does not take any gas, I have to switch off the car and restart it. my problem only coocurs once in a while but not everyday

can you please help me.
