2001 Toyota Corolla Repair Question
On my way home from work the other night, my car all of sudden wouldn't shift into gear. i noticed about a week prior that my clutch was getting soft
Answer
So it will physically shift into gear it just wont move when letting out the clutch?
It was, but now I can't get it into any gear. I have it sitting in my parking lot right now in neutral.
So you cant shift it into first gear the shifter will fight you an won let it hapen?
Correct. I can't get it into any gear at all.
Even with the engine turned off?
I can switch into gear with the car off.
That sounds like a clutch not releasing does the clutch pedal have pressure all the way down to the floor?
The clutch will go all the way down to the floor, but there is absolutely no pressure to the clutch what so ever :(
Sounds like the clutch hydraulics have failed so not as bad as the clutch failing repair wise.
Do you think that I will need the master cylinder replaced as well??
