Have it checked for a leaking head gasket. Your mechanic will draw air from the radiator through a glass cylinder with two chambers partially-filled with a special dark blue liquid. If combustion gases are present that liquid will turn bright yellow. With a head gasket leak, coolant can leak into a cylinder where it is burned. The classic symptom is white smoke from the tail pipe.
